How Do I Activate an Inactive User?

TRUX has created an online peer-to-peer software forum for Haul-IT, Weigh-IT, and Maintain-IT users. The forum gives our users a place to discuss issues, ask for advice, and help each other. If you are a TRUX user, we recommend that you sign-up for the forum and start asking questions. You can access the forum from http://forum.trux.com, or from links provided on the support page of our website: http://www.trux.com/TRUX_client_support/client_support_TRUX.php.

Here is an example of a “How To” article posted by TRUX staff this morning:

TRUX Support fields several calls a month about how to activate a user account which is inactive. Usually, the account has been made inactive due to the user entering an incorrect passoword three times while trying to login. In order to reactivate the user, another user, with administration rights (Manage Users), will need to select the active flag on the account.

Here is a step-by-step walkthrough in case you or your users find yourselves in the same situation.

1. Open System > Administration > Manage Users.
2. Click the “Show Inactive Users” hyperlink (top right).
3. Double-click on the inactive user account you want reactivate.

The Modify Users program will open, with the selected user account.

4. Select the Active checkbox.
5. Change the user’s password to a temporary one, if they have forgotten it.
6. Click Save.

That’s it, the user account has been activated.
